A better control of costs and revenues in the CONSTRUCTION INDUSTRY
Established 12 yers ago, as a small family business in the furniture area, the company now employes a workforce of over 600, and posseses a distribution and stores network that sells products in the following areas: construction, interior and exterior design, termical, electrical and sanitary installations. From the very beginning, the company implemented an IT system for enterprise resources management. But, as the business grew, the needs became more complex. That was when the company contracted INTEGRATOR's services to implement a new and better IT system.
To invest in order to grow up Along with the company development, one of the most important challeges was cost control. The solution that INTEGRATOR proposed to the management to achieve this objective was an SAP ERP system. Thus, the company may have a permanent evidence of products since their acquisition up to the store; it may know what the most sold products are and their selling frequency, having the possibility to take strategic decisions regarding the aquisition or development policy.
Nowadays the evidence regarding either profitability or losses on each store can be deducted; hence, easier decisions regarding restructuring or closing.
Ease in taking decisions Although it is a medium-size company with regional activity, its profitability maintenance and the guarantee of a strong increase are very important for management. The extension plans at national level are also important, in the competition both with local and international Romanian companies. The company has now access to all essential information.
